DEAF: Carson is the runt of Cora's Downton Abbey litter weighing in at half the size of his litter mates. He has been held back for medical observation, but now we have our medical mystery solved so he is available for adoption. First off, Carson is deaf so will need a home that is willing to use sign language with him. We have had a few deaf puppies in the rescue and they respond very well to hand signals. His foster home has already begun this process with him. Secondly, Carson was born with a birth defect called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. What this means is that parts of the cerebellum have not completely developed. Some symptoms of this are head bobbing, unable to judge distance, unsteadiness or clumsiness. Because of this condition, Carson will thrive in a home with another dog to use as a role model. Carson is otherwise a healthy, happy puppy. He can run and play, eat and drink on his own and already uses the potty pad to do his business. And did we mention he is simply ADORABLE! Carson is a special little guy who is deserving of a very special family to call his own. He is 12 weeks old and weighs 2 lbs.
