My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Burton Guster. He’s a one-of-a-kind, one-eyed, three-legged little wonder of a dog. House trained, crate trained, great with dogs of all sizes, and good with kids. His missing parts are but minor inconveniences for Burton. He runs and jumps and plays like any other dog and is extra sweet and loving.

Burton is about four years old, neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative. He’s perfectly healthy, happy and ready to find his forever family. Burton has a bit of wanderlust in his sweet little soul and will need to be supervised when out and about. He’ll need a backyard with a secured, intact fence. It’s not that he tries to get out, but if he finds a nice little opening his size, his urge to explore leads him out through the hole and off he goes.

Our adoption process is simple. We ask you to complete a one-page application. An interview will then take place in your home. There will be no adoption fee. Donations, though, will be appreciated.

Adoptions outside of Northwest Arkansas are not out of the question. We welcome sincere inquiries from anywhere, and we’re happy to work with long-distance applicants.
