My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NIMA - Lab/shepherd mix, female, 9 years, 83 lbs. Nima was surrendered to a local shelter by her owner of 9 years due to issues with their landlord. Poor Nima was just devastated by this change and was not handling it well; given her level of stress, the shelter felt she would do best in a rescue. Thus far Nima has just been the sweetest girl! Her approach is gentle, whether to people, cats or other dogs. While her foster home does not have children, we are told that she has been around kids as young as 2 and done great with them - as well as having lived with birds and rabbits, too! Nima appears to be in camouflage as a walking coffee table, but we have high hopes that this girl will shed her extra weight soon. She loves her walks and otherwise enjoys snoozing by your side or in your lap. Nima does not like crates. She can be left loose in the house although her perfect match may be a retired couple or someone who works from home.
