I am an “All American Pit” and I need your help!!!
Please, before you take a look at my earnest face & then reject it because I am “just a Pit Bull,” I beg of you to read my story. I am Patrick, a tenderhearted, 6 year-old companion without a human to devote myself to. I am a jovial boy who hasn’t had the leisure of being part of a kind family, consequently being robbed of any guidance growing up. I am rambunctious & immature because I’ve never received TLC or proper training. I am mouthy & jumpy because I don’t know how to express my enthusiasm. I am all of this but most importantly I am eager to learn how to grow into an obedient pal.
I am a victim of a harrowing life, enduring great abuse. I remain unruffled after being thrown from a speeding car & then almost being hit by another. Despite a past that has left me with half a tongue & scars inscribed into my skin, it failed to rob me of my spirit. It has not shaped me into an enraged beast. All I have is the love & purity of a newborn puppy, for that is the soul I was born with.
I’ve been working well with a great trainer who is making progress with me & is confident I will flourish in the right home. I am a gentleman on lead so I would appreciate guardians who enjoy long walkies. They will need to be patient & determined to continue with my training. I am a lover of both doggies & kitties & would certainly thrive with human & furry siblings to play with. Human siblings should be older in order to handle my strength & liveliness.
So yes, I am just devoted & madly in love with people. I am just unloved, abused & ignored. I am just sweet & gentle like a good ol’ Retriever. I am just innocent like a child. I am just a precious face unaware that I’m hated & feared. I am just a scapegoat in an uneducated & belligerent society. I am just a dog unfortunate enough to be born in a time where I am no longer regarded as the “All American Family Dog.” Please forgive me; I am “just a Pit Bull.”
Please, won’t you rescue me so I can be accepted, adored & protected forever?
