Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Comments: Poor Hamlet’s owner passed away and left him without a home. How could we resist? Don’t let the white on his face fool you- Hamlet is no feeble old man. He’s still got plenty of zip. He does have cataracts that limit his vision, but he is not blind or deaf. He absolutely LOVES to be held, so will definitely need a family that understands how to pick up and hold a Dachshund so as not to hurt his beautiful long back. Hamlet also loves to be kissed, and it really isn’t all that usual for us to find small dogs (or any dogs, for that matter) that seem happy to have that face-on-face contact with total strangers. We’re thrilled- we love to kiss that long nose! Hamlet is a real character. One of the volunteers had to pop in the pen to clean up an accident at his first event, and Hamlet asked for some attention. When she told him she needed to clean up first, he TOLD her he NEEDED some attention with his Dachshund voice. When that didn’t make her drop everything, he decided he’d better SHOW her he needed attention, so he pulled on her pants leg! It was so funny. He didn’t rip anything- just wanted to make sure she understood he would not be ignored. :-D All Hamlet is looking for is love. Whoever winds up with this sweet, handsome boy is going to be so lucky. If you’d like that person to be you, please fill out an application to meet Hamlet today!
