Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**LadyBird is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas and is available for out of state adoption.**
LadyBird could have been named Sunshine because when we are around her it feels like a perfect Sunshiny day. This amazing girl has a personality that radiates happiness and it is contagious. We love LadyBird and are so thrilled to be able to help her find the family, love and future that she so truly deserves.
Our best guess on LadyBird’s mix of breeds is Bloodhound and Labrador retriever. She definitely has a lot of the great qualities of both the Hound and the Lab, intelligent, gentle, affectionate, talkative, active and silly. She is currently only about 40 pounds and has a long and lean body style rather than a real solid and muscular pup. She is estimated at 14 months old, so she is most likely near her full grown size, although she may fill out by a couple of pounds once she is in her stable new life.
Her sunny disposition will attract just about any adopters, but our goal is always to make a great match based on her needs and her potential adopter’s lifestyle. LadyBird loves to be outside, playing, running, hiking trails, romping around with other dogs, so she would love an owner that is also enthusiastic about life and living it. She needs space to play, so she would do best in a home with a yard to visit throughout the day. She thrives on getting lots of attention and constant love, so she needs an owner that appreciates a very loyal, at your side kind of girl. She’s a goofy girl whom will probably be full of shenanigans throughout her life, so a patient person whom loves to be entertained would be great.
LadyBird LOVES the company of other dogs, so she would be an amazing addition and companion dog for your current furry kid. She met the dogs in her foster home and instantly fell into place with them and started having a blast. She’s a perfect dog park attendee or doggy daycare girl. She’ll pretty much love any adventure that you take her on, but she will also be the first one on the couch for movie night. She’s all about her people and making them smile. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her whole body, but she would probably chase a cat or squirrel if one crossed her path…all in good fun, of course. She’d be just fine with children, but her swift movements might cause a little kiddo to get knocked down. She might lick them while they are down there too.
This ray of sunshine is ready to find her forever family. She’s available for out of state adoption and her adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of her airline flight, brand new travel crate and bed, which are hers to keep once she arrives. She is also already spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and has a clean bill of health. LadyBird is a real treasure and if you want this happy, happy Hound girl to join your family, please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org.
