Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ranger is a playful, happy, loving 3-5 year old shepherd / black mouth cur mix and weighs about 45 lbs. He loves playing with other dogs – he’s found that playing ball is quite fun! He also has found that he really likes to be loved on – scratching his ears is his favorite! Ranger can be shy and timid when meeting new people. Once he gets to know you and finds out that you are going to love him, he warms up and is a super sweet boy. He’s the same with people of all ages. There is nothing to worry about with him and kids (or people in general). He is a very submissive boy and will just lay down when kids or anybody he doesn’t know comes up to him. Ranger loves other dogs. He is a big fan of playing with his standard poodle foster sisters and hasn’t met another dog he’s not friends with! (He has not been around cats yet, so his cat compatibility is unknown).
Ranger is neutered, crate trained, and almost completely house trained – he may have an occasional accident if not supervised, as he’s new to living life indoors. He has a knot on the inside of his back right leg from where his leg was broken at some point, but xrays revealed that his leg healed all on its own and does not bother him much at all. Ranger’s ideal home will have another dog for him to play with and learn from. He hopes to find a human that will be understanding and patient with him, as he’s got a lot of love to share – it just takes him a little bit of time to warm up to strangers. Once he’s decided you’re a good person, he will be wagging his tail non-stop and giving lots of kisses!
