My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years

Personality: Nemo is affectionate once he trusts you, very eager to please, and can be a worrier. When he came here, it became clear that Nemo had no experience being handled or receiving affection. Any typical affection (such as: pats, pets, rubs, scratches, hugs, cuddles, etc) were extremely foreign to him - and made him very uncomfortable. With kindness, patience, and time, Nemo is learning that affection and handling can be enjoyable. He is learning to like to spend time with people, and understanding that we all have good intentions!

Energy Level: Moderate to High

Dog Skills: Excellent player, active, bouncy. Really enjoys playing with other dogs, and does well even with other dogs who typically do not care for males.

People Skills: Nemo will need a home that can continue to teach him about kindness. A home that truly understands patience, and is committed to his development. He can still get scared of being handled, and needs a someone who will truly go slow with him.

Kid Skills: No Kids - Adults Only.

Special Requirements: A home experienced in intensive behavioral rehab.
