We got Ruby from our cousin. He has a farm with chickens and horses. She was chasing the horses and killing the chickens, so he had to find her a new home. They sent her to an obedience school.

Our cousin found our sweet Ruby at a horse show they participated in. Another participant had bred their border collie and had a litter of puppies in 2011 that are certified Farm Dogs. She wasn't suited to being around horses, so he sought another home for her.

We welcomed Ruby into our home as we were expecting our first baby. She is amazingly obedient and easy to train. She NEVER runs away, not even if we leave the gate open. She is kennel trained, obedience trained, house trained (except when left alone too long, but that is about anxiety), but she just has a natural tendency to be obedient.

Our boys spend their days running with her and being herded by her. She won't chase a ball, or really anything except a person or other dog. She loves meeting new dogs and lays down and creeps forward incrementally to meet a new friend. We get non-stop complements about how beautiful, obedient and even tempered she is. We are heartbroken to give her up, but she bit our son and we believe she needs a home without children. Ruby WILL NOT be re-homed to anyone with small children, 12 or under).
