Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 03/27/145: Carl is being altered on 4/8/2015. He has already become more comfortable with people. Today he spent time with Mister, the first foster I placed, Becky fell I love with him, she tried to fill out a form on the website but it wouldn't go through. Becky would really like to adopt him, so hopefully tomorrow she can make it work. In the mean time while we wait for his surgery she will have time to get to know Carl. Making sure Carl is going to be happy with them. Becky has a special gift with Mister, which makes me think she will with Carl as well.
Smiles from Iowa, Susan
Update 03/26/15: Hello everybody my name is Carl I've had quite a day today my first full day in Foster. I went to the veterinarian today had blood work done had all my shots, a heartworm test which was negative by the way. Went to visit one of my foster mom's friends at work and made a big hit there everybody wanted to hold me, then I got a bath didn't like that much but I know it's for my own good I was kind of dirty.
My knees are not good so I have trouble walking my eyes are not bad there just getting old I am nine years old I was born January 25, 2006. I need to be neutered, my breeding days are over thankfully, i'm 3.7 pounds, very lovable, very timid I may come out of my shell once I get used to people being nice to me, my foster mommy will keep everybody updated.
Sincerely, Carl
Initial Bio 03/25/15: Meet our newest male Yorkie, Carl, who was a breeder release from a puppy mill. His age is estimated at 9 years old. Carl arrived in poor condition so he went to the vet for blood work and an exam. The blood work came back ok, which is a huge relief, but the vet feels he is neurologic with probable hearing loss and vision impairment. Carl is unsteady and shut down. He has a hard time moving around, almost like his hips aren't working. He is not an ounce of snappy or nasty, in fact, when wrapped up in a blanket, he gently leans against you and falls asleep. We feel heartbroken for him, but foster mom will do everything she can to give him a quality of life that he never has had before. He is the poster child for why not to buy from pet stores!!! Stay tuned for more updates on this sweet boy.
