Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Drake
Age: 1-2 years old
Disability: 3 legged
Breed/Weight: Yellow lab mix, about 50 pounds
History: Drake was a roaming neighborhood dog, with no home and an injured leg - he was finally picked up as a stray. Drake was rescued by an advocacy group we work with on a regular basis and finally received the medical attention he needed.
Drake stayed in a foster home for some post op recovery time while he waited for transport to be arranged. Here is a little info from the foster home "I have been fostering for 4 years, and they have all touched my heart but something about Drake, pulled my heartstrings beyond imaginable! I love this fella! He has become best friends with Godzilla, my orange cat, caught them both napping together and has been great with all my dogs, he loves the water and to play with the tennis ball. Please keep me posted on this big hunk of love, would love to know when he if finally settled into his new home and a loving family, he is so deserving!"
Drake arrived at PWD and has settled with ease into his new environment. Drake exhibits all the wonderful characteristics of the companion Labrador! He is easy going, smart, happy, and great around kids and other dogs! So how much more do you need? We have completely fallen in love with him at PWD and we know he'll do a good job becoming a cherished member of his new family - as long as they have tennis balls and enjoy having a dog participate in life with them.
