4/9/15: Louie Lou is one fiesty little fellow. He barely weighs 5 pounds. Louie Lou is about 7 years old, and is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.
Louie Lou is ready for the summer with his new short haircut. He is such a handsome little guy, even with that amazing tongue hanging out. It just adds to his boyish good looks. That tongue gives the best kisses ever.
Louie may be 7 years old, but he sure does't act it. He is more like a 4 year old. He loves to run after the squirrels and birds and anything else that moves in the backyard. And wow is he fast! Watch out for any open doors and make sure Louie is not around. He will take an open door as an invitation to go out and explore the world (on his own); he is definitely a runner!
Louie loves to being held and cuddled and will sit with his people for as long as they let him. He loves to sleep on the bed, but he is okay in the crate, too. Louie is great in the car, he eats like a champ, and will walk nicely on a leash, but a fenced yard is best for him.
Louie would do best in a home with a person home often, a house with a fenced yard, and no other dogs, especially no other male dogs. Louis isn't real fond of cats, either. He is almost house-trained, but a belly band helps when he has to be left alone for a while.
Because of his small size Louie can't go to a home with children under the age of 14.
Louis is patiently waiting for his forever home. He would be the perfect buddy for anyone wanting love and lots of kisses. Please fill out an adoption application for Louie Lou. He sure will love to be your best little buddy.

Louie has settled into his new foster home like he's been here forever. He came into United Yorkie Rescue with his daughter Maggie Sue. At first we thought they would need to be adopted together, but Louie always pushed Maggie away anytime she wanted attention or loving.
We decided to see how they would do apart and both dogs are much happier. Louie has a fenced backyard and all he wants it to chase and catch the "wildlife". Any squirrel, bird, or lizard is fair game. It doesn't matter to him that he hasn't come close to getting anything, he's having great fun trying.
Louie Lou is house trained and sleeps all night in his doggie bed. Louie loves to jump up on whatever he can. He also loves to run and will bolt out an open door. His foster parents are teaching him that he cannot go out any door except the one to the fenced backyard.
Louie is a great eater, even without any teeth. Due to his severe dental neglect all his teeth had to be removed and now his little tongue, that will kiss you all day, hangs out. It just adds to his rakishly good looks. Louie gets along great with his foster sister. He loves being held and cuddled by his people. He will follow them from room to room.
Although we were told Louie is 7 he acts like a much younger dog. Louie walks nicely on a leash, but a home with a secured fenced backyard would be much better for him. Due to his small size Louie cannot go to a home with children under the age of 14.
If you want the cutest, spunkiest little fellow, who wants nothing more than to give you kisses and be allowed to run around the backyard, then this little guy is for you.
