My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blackjack is a young, 10 months old male Landseer Newfoundland. His owners didn’t realize how large and fast he would grow so they turned him into a high killer shelter. He is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Blackjack is heartworm negative on monthly preventative. He loves to play and chase a tennis ball. Blackjack enjoys riding in the car, spending time with his foster family, he gets along fantastic with other dogs and loves going to the park to walk. He’s a high energy dog, but yet very calm in the house. Since Blackjack is only a puppy, he doesn't know his strength, we highly recommend an experienced adopter for large and strong dogs. He is fully house trained and has learned to sit, stay, down & shake in just a few short minutes, so he’s highly trainable. He would do best with a family who is very active and maybe another dog, but no children under 10. If you think Blackjack would make a great addition to your family, please email emptypockets1@nc.rr.com for an application. Blackjack’s adoption fee is $700. He is being fostered in Greenville, NC, so you must be willing to drive to NC to pick him up.
