Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Odie is a busy boy. He likes to keep busy and doesn’t stay still for very long. Odie is a 5 year old Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier), but he acts much younger. Once he has had plenty of play time, Odie is happy to take a snooze on your lap.
Odie came to us when his owner surrendered him because she could not keep up with him. He is a happy and sweet boy who makes quick stops to give you kisses as his way of checking in while he finds things to do. If you have another young, small dog they most likely would be great play buddies. Because Odie is so active he needs a fenced yard to keep him safe as he plays. It would be best if the door used the most opens into the fenced yard because Odie isn’t good at waiting for permission to go out. He is a smart boy who just needs that special person in his life who will give him time and attention to teach him the right things to do. Odie was not given much training as a young dog, but adult dogs can learn new tricks.
Odie is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. Odie is housebroken. He was not crate trained but his foster home is working with him on that so that he can learn to be calm in a crate if it is ever needed. For more information about Odie, please contact lynette@furfunrescue.org. You can begin the adoption process by completing the adoption application that can be found on our website at www.furfunrescue.org.
If you are looking for a small dog but an active dog, Odie is the one for you! Give him some love and some structure and you will be rewarded with a wonderful dog. And he is cute as a button, too!!
