Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Last year his owners moved away and left Greg behind, he sat outside the window looking in, so sad and wistful, wondering why. We have now gotten Greg inside and had him neutered, microchipped, given rabies and distemper vaccines and treated against fleas.
He also tested clear of feline leukemia virus. Greg did however test positive for FIV, a virus that can lower a cat's immune system.
FIV is not catching to people or other pets, and neutered cats are very unlikely to spread it to any other cat in the home. A cat can live a full happy life with FIV as long as he is kept inside and treated well. Some cats with FIV have lived to 18 years or more. Here is more information on FIV, http://www.animalleague.org/expert-advice/health/articles/everyday-health/truth-about-fiv-cats.html
If you want to make a difference in a cat's life, consider adopting Greg, all he wants is a home and a family to love him. That's all. Please help him realize his dream.
Greg is good about his litterbox, as long as its kept clean, and he loves to be petted and played with. He will do best on an all wet food diet as neutered males eating dry catfood are more susceptible to urinary tract blockages, which are serious medical crises. Food makes all the difference in a cat's long term well being and its truly worth the investment to keep them healthy and out of the vet's office.
We are an all volunteer rescue group dedicated to helping abandoned and homeless cats find safe loving homes. We do have a small rehoming fee of 65 dollars that helps to cover some of our medical care costs for the cats we rescue. Thank you for considering helping a rescued cat!
