My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Barkley, a sweet and cuddly senior who still has a lot of pep-in-his-step. I've had a bit of a rough patch ending up in the shelter after being in a home my whole life... I'm not sure why that happened, but there's no reason to focus on it! I am in recovery mode now, getting better from a pesky cold I caught and prepping for my upcoming surgery to fix my eyelids and teeth. I have something called Ectropion where my eyelid turns out, basically my dashing lashes go straight into my eyeball which is obviously pretty uncomfortable and kinda defeats the purpose of having really PAWsome lashes. Most pups wouldn't be excited for surgery, but I really am... I cannot wait to have my eyelids fixed as it's a problem I've had my whole life and since my teeth hurt sometimes it's probably a good idea to get those cleaned too!

Please don't let my age fool you... I can boogy with the best of them! I LOVE being outside and going on walks. I just walked around Balboa Lake and had the most amazing time!! I also really like to be by your side and I'm not afraid to ask for more pet and cuddle time. What I have to offer is endless love, kisses, and companionship... hopefully you're looking for the same and we can meet... soon!
