My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Huey needs a home without small dogs, kids or cats and a caregiver who will help him on his path towards wellness and happiness. This would include consistency in terms of exercise, taking him to his pain therapy appointments and giving him a loving home environment with structure. Before his back pain was diagnosed and it was discovered (some time in his past) that he was severely wounded on his back by a larger dog, Huey was aggressive when startled or picked up behind. His future foster or forever home will need to be aware of this sensitivity and work with and try to alleviate and overcome Huey's instinctual and protective fear of being picked up or approached suddenly from behind. Since he started his acupuncture treatments, his pain is greatly reduced and he is much better.

Huey is 4 years old and weighs 19#. No cats, small dogs or young children. He is located in Salem, Oregon.
