Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tanner is a six month old yellow lab who lost his home due to foreclosure as his family moved to an apartment and he couldn't go with them. He has been in foster care for several weeks and is hoping for a forever home soon. Tanner is already 60 pounds and is going to be a big boy! His foster mom says Tanner is sociable and likes to meet people, is great with kids and gets along with dogs of all sizes. He ignores the cats he sees when on his walks. He is house trained and whines at the door when he wants out or barks but you have to pay close attention to him. He will stay in his crate and hasn't had any accidents in it. He is very active and loves to retrieve his toys for long periods of time in the yard. Not the best walker on a leash but loves to run on the open road. Stalks and chases birds in the yard but hasn't caught any yet. He likes to run in the yard and stays close to the house and returns when his name is called. Sits quietly in the back seat of the car or in his crate. Loves to be petted and will lay at your feet chewing on a rawhide for hours if you'd stay with him. Has a loud bark when he wants to eat but will 'sit' before he gets his food. Sits on command for treats. Really a pretty lovable big boy who needs lots of room and attention. Tanner is in rescue with Happy Hound Rescue, a 501c3 Minnesota non-profit, all volunteer organization. Our dogs all are heartworm tested negative and have heartworm preventive, drontal for worming, DA2PPvL+Cv vaccines for distemper, parvo, etc., bordatella vaccine for kennel cough, rabies vaccine, Capstar to kill fleas, Frontline Plus to prevent fleas and ticks, spay or neuter, and HomeAgain microchip. Our adoption fee is $250.00 which is refundable for up to two weeks if the placement is not successful. View our website at www.happyhoundrescue.org to see our available dogs and the information we need to make a successful placement.
