My story

Hello. My name is Sutton. I am an adult spayed female American Pit Bull Terrier mix. I am a very special girl that is hoping for a second chance. I am about 2 years old but have had a rough start to life. I was brought here by the police department after being left in an abandoned home. I was trapped inside without food, water or heat. When I was brought here, I was underweight, had frostbite on my feet, tail and ears and sores on my body from my unsanitary living conditions. Thankfully I was brought here where I was able to receive the vet care and attention that I desperately needed. Although my ears are still naked and my wounds are still visible, I am healing well and I would love to spend the rest of my recovery in a home where I will be loved and pampered. If you are looking for a loving and affectionate dog that truly deserves a second chance, come meet me! I would make a great addition to a loving and fun new home. I love to play and I love going for walks although I don't like spending much time outside in the cold. I get along well with most dogs but wouldn't mind being the center of attention.
