Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Rommel, and around my foster home I'm affectionately known as "The General". I even have a collar with stars on it to prove it! Yes, I'm named after the WWII German Field Marshall. I don't know why – I look nothing like him – though I do enjoy a good bratwurst once in awhile.
I'm a little silly and call my foster Mommy and Daddy Fommy and Faddy. Like all Weims, I LOVE to snuggle and be petted, but I must say I'm better at it than most. I also like to sleep when you are not around. It's a hobby I'm working to perfect. Fommy and Faddy have two girl Weims named Lucy and Scarlet who are okay. They like to play, so at first I was kind of grumpy with them. Hey, I'm 12 1/2 years old and like to sleep and those youngsters just don't get it.
Fommy says I'm a gentle soul who is very chill, whatever that means. All I know is that I love my human and like to follow her around. Everywhere. I don't sleep in bed with Fommy and Faddy, but their couches are another story. I like to sleep next to their bed or in my kennel because it is cozy. They leave the door open in case I want to get out and s-t-r-e-t-c-h and I really don't like the door shut – ever. When no humans are home, I'm allowed to roam around the house and I like to sit at the door and wait for them to return. I'm a good boy and don't get into things.
According to Fommy I'm a big boy, but that is because those girl dogs are tiny. I weigh 70# and really love my breakfast and dinner! When Fommy is making my food, I watch her and wag my nubby tail really fast! I eat too fast, so Fommy puts a round ball in my dish to slow me down. The other dogs have the same thing, so I guess fast eaters run in this household.
I take supplements (Cosamin ASU and Grapeseed Extract) twice a day to help with my arthritic hips. I also have some lumps, but the vet told Fommy not to worry about them. Sometimes when they take me outside I don't hear or see too well, but they help guide me where I need to go. I walk really well on the leash with a Gentle Leader harness so I don't get ahead of myself.
I know a lot of commands like "gentle", "sit" and "give paw". I really like meeting new people and dogs and I LOVE riding in the car! I just need a bit of a boost to get in because of my hips. You wouldn't mind giving me a hand, would you?
I'm ready to move into my forever home, so let Senior Moments know if you'd like to meet me. The adoption application is here: http://senior-moments-weimaraners.com/who-we-are/adoption-information/
Hope to see you soon. Maybe we can share a bratwurst.
Love, Rommel
