Kitkat is a very sweet girl who just celebrated her first birthday on October 1, 2014. Kitty came to Ratbone with her five puppies. Now that they're starting to find forever homes, she is looking for hers as well. Right now she's still pretty shy and skittish; we are working hard on her socialization. Kitty has warmed up to her foster parents, but is still very wary of other people, quick movement and noises. She is a curious girl and really does want to be friends with humans, though. Kitty will go into her kennel at night without crying, but she really loves to cuddle with her fostermom too; she loves to burrow under blankets. KitKat does well with the other two small dogs in the house, and doesn’t mind cats. She does have a lot of energy when it comes to playing with the other dogs, but she can also be a couch potato at times; her energy level is very up and down. Kitty has not met any children yet, but we feel that any children in her new home should be older, because of her shyness. Her training was minimal when she came to rescue; right now we're working on walking on a leash and sitting when asked. She seems to be a smart girl and a quick learner. Kitty is very well kennel trained, and is getting pretty good about always going outside to potty. Having her on a schedule really helps.
Whoever adopts this girl will be getting a great cuddle-bug as long as they have a little patience with her! To see more pictures of KitKat Ratbone please
