My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petrie and Ducky were being handed over to Hernando County Animal Services as unweaned kittens about 4 months ago. The shelter can't care for bottle babies, so they were slated for euthanasia by the end of the day. PetLuv Spay and Neuter Clinic of Brooksville happened to have some employees in the lobby when Petrie and Ducky were being handed over, so PetLuv agreed to save them.

Now Petrie and Ducky are about 5 months old and are ready to find homes of their own. Ideally, they could go home as a pair since cats entertain themselves and are content when they have been raised together. They have almost gotten homes a few times, but the potential adopters refused the home visit, so they remain available. Petrie (the taller gray and black tabby one on the right) and Ducky (the smaller brown and tan tabby on the left), a male and a female, can be adopted individually.

Petrie and Ducky are your typical playful kittens. They love to practice their natural instincts and imagine prey is around every corner. Sometimes the prey is the unsuspecting sibling. Petrie and Ducky are spayed/neutered, have been dewormed, and have had their first set of kitten shots, including the annual rabies vaccination. PetLuv has provided them with $63 of services each. Petrie and Ducky have not been exposed to dogs, but live harmoniously with other cats and kittens. You can meet Petrie and Ducky in the cat adoption room at PetLuv in Brooksville Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Go to the "red door" at the end and ask to see the cats. They are in the cat room which is visible from the waiting room.

The adoption fee is $25.00. There will be an application, a vet verification, and a home visit prior to adoption. For the most part, we only adopt to people within 90 minutes of Hernando County. Go to www.arfn.org to find an application to start the adoption process. You can also complete the application on-site at PetLuv Spay and Neuter Clinic in Brooksville.
