Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You couldn't ask for a sweeter cat.
Emmylou Harris was adopted out by us as a kitten and then survived a perilous journey back to us. She somehow wound up on the street and was turned in to an animal control. Somehow the facility missed Emmylou's microchip-- had they caught that she was microchipped to us, they would have called us, and we would have come to get her. But her chip went undetected, and Emmylou's death date was scheduled. At that point several volunteers at the shelter begged us to help this little girl, so we agreed to take her in to the rescue.
Imagine our surprise when the vet scanned Emmylou and found a Frisky Whiskers microchip! We immediately whisked Emmylou to the home of her original foster mama, who recognized her! It now seems serendipitous that the pound volunteers unknowingly chose to beg our volunteer to help Emmylou. What are the chances?
Emmylou is safe now. She purrs up a storm and needs a home with people who will keep her indoors. She would probably prefer to be an only cat and seems to feel unsafe around smaller children. Hence, we are seeking a home with no small children where she can be an only cat.
Wouldn't you like to welcome Emmylou home for life?
