Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet and spunky Heidi has recently joined our group and we are so happy to have the opportunity to find this great dog a forever family. She is a beautiful Cattle Dog mix with a soft red and white coat. Her ears are so expressive and cute; we just can’t get enough of her. She estimated to be about 1 ½ years old and 40 pounds, a perfect size for all life’s adventures!
Heidi was rescued from the city shelter, where no dog is safe. She was so grateful to get out of there and have the freedom of a yard, good food and great people. She is the most gentle, affectionate and playful pup in the house. She is friendly to all living creatures, people, children, dogs and cats.
She really loves to spend time with her new human friends and it is clear that loyalty is one of her strongest characteristics. She is very eager to please her friends and looks to us for acceptance and praise. It’s hard not to just hug her constantly.
This girl is really smart and has already picked up so many things in the short time she’s been with us. She will likely be able to learn commands and tricks with some dedication from her new family. She is already fully crate trained and is about 90% house broken, which is pretty good considering she’s probably never been an indoor pet before now.
Heidi’s got the cattle dog spunk! Her favorite things to do include anything fun and active like running, playing with the other dogs and checking out the yard including the pre-existing holes. She will be a great companion for someone because she bonds to people well and she enjoys doing whatever they are doing. She gets so excited and gleeful sometimes that she lets out a cute squeal. She will really be over the moon once she has her own family, toys and adventures.
Heidi is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and healthy. She’s currently living in Houston, Texas and is available for local or out of state adoption. Her out of state adoption fee is $450 to cover the cost of her airline flight, new travel crate and bed that she keeps upon arrival and her required health documents. If Heidi is the silly, playful cattle dog that you’ve looking to adopt, please email adoptions@reggiesfriends.org.
