Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Warren is a large young red pit bull terrier mix. He’s probably around 2 years old as he is fully grown and appears fully developed. He’s a larger dog 65/70lbs. He’s solid, solid in color and solid in muscle. He’s very nicely developed with a straight back, straight front end and nice length of leg in the back. He has a very athletic build and could use an active home. He’s the kind of dog that would love to travel with you, take walks in the park and play fetch in the back yard. He does fetch and bring back the ball. To keep him well exercised he could use someone who is willing to play fetch with him in the yard for 15 minutes once or twice a day.
Warren is heart worm negative, up to date on shots and already neutered. He has a few basic commands like sit and down. You can see a video of him in action fetching over with the photos.
Warren does best with dogs of his own size. Small dogs remind him too much of cats and he would love to chase them. A home with small dogs and cats is not recommended. Because of his larger size and activity level, a home with infants and toddlers is also not recommended. He would do best in a home with active adults or older children (middle school and up). He’s very toy focused and would love to take training classes with his new owner.
Walks nicely on a gentle leader harness, when he’s on a flat collar and lead he pulls pretty hard and needs work. Maybe a nice dog to train to pull a skateboard or take roller blading.
Warren is with Richmond Animal Care and Control on Chamberlyne Avenue in Richmond VA
