Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Amber. She is a transfer from a rescue in Ohio. Just like Desiree before her, she is in need of being in a region where folks understand FIV and are able to come forward and adopt this precious little darling.
Amber is only a few years old and like other FIV+ cats, can live a long, happy healthy life! She just needs low stress, good nutrition and lots and lots of love. She looks like a Calico but is actually what is called Patched Tabby. Her extra toes really add character and help her bat toys around!
You will fall in love with her instantly. She adjusts immediately to a new environment. She loves to play, be petted, especially on the belly, and is very snuggly. She is extremely playful and loves to chase toys and the laser light. She loves to play hide and seek too.
Amber has a night time routine that is beyond adorable. She waits for her foster to pull the covers down at bedtime and then insists on crawling under them and fending off the attack of the mad fingers! Then she crawls outside the covers and dive bombs the foster’s innocent feet. And once that attack has ceased, it's time to crawl on the night stand and engage in a few rounds of slap boxing. This is every night!
Amber will do well in almost any home. If you have a cat already, she can still be placed there as long as your cat meets the criteria for safe intermingling of FIV+ cats.
LiFeline Adoptions has placed many FIV+ cats in mixed households, carefully and responsibly, and there has never been an issue. She is currently in foster with two male cats and doing wonderful. She adapted very quickly and loves her foster brothers!
You can give this little gem a gift of a good home but you will be the one really getting a gift by adopting her!
