My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Knox is a true southern gentleman full of charm and love, he is up for anything you want to do.... ride in the car? Awesome... Take a nap in the recliner? Fantastic... Chase in the backyard? Tag you're it... Knox is up to date on all his vaccinations, heart worm negative and on preventive, neutered, and relatively healthy.

He does have a grade 2/6 heart murmur but doesn't display any symptoms. His new home will need to be familiar with this condition and prepared to do yearly echo-cardiograms for him and keep his teeth clean, as plaque can affect the heart. As he ages this condition may worsen and require medication but it also may very well lie dormant. His family will need to know what symptoms to look for while living with this sweet boy.

Knox is learning some basic manners that his previous home neglected to teach him. He is a quick study and is eager to please making this process more pleasant than expected.

He is a resource guarder. Chances are he will always have an issue sharing high value items such as bones, treats, etc.. He will need to be fed separate from any resident dogs, and treats will need to be kept to a minimum. I simply give him a carrot here and there but never with another dog around.... expect him to be the same around children! No high value items that a child might try to take from him.
