My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ranger! I'm an approx. 2 year old bichon frise mix. My foster family isn't quite sure what I'm mixed with, but I am non-shedding and have hair like a typical bichon. I was a stray at an animal control facility when Safe Haven Bichon and Friends found me and took me into their rescue. I live in a foster home now with many other little dogs. Although I'm okay with the other dogs and enjoy playing with them sometimes, I think I'd prefer to live in a home where I can be king of the lap situation and just have opportunities to play with other dogs occasionally. I absolutely LOVE to run and play in the fenced yard at my foster home, so a home with a fenced yard is a must for me. I enjoy playing with toys, and I'm good at fetch. When people come to visit, I'm immediately in their lap looking for some lovin'. I'm just a happy little guy who loves to be loved.

Since being rescued, I've been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), dewormed and vaccinated. I'm being fed a high-quality food that doesn't contain any corn, wheat , soy, meat by-products or other low-quality ingredients, and I hope my new family will continue to feed me a high-quality food for the rest of my life. The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes an application, reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs on planes or send them on transports. Adopters need to come to the foster home to adopt.
