St. Joseph Bay Humane Society is located on the 'Forgotten Coast' in the Eastern Florida Panhandle. We are a non-profit serving Port St. Joe, Fl and Gulf County.
Meet Breezy, a gorgeous 36lb, 1 yr. old Hound/beagle mix girl. She is reserved but friendly and is great with other dogs and cats. Breezy is gaining confidence in new surroundings and recently graduated from the DAWGS in Prison program, http://www.dawgsinprison.com . Please watch her practicing her commands on her video. All of the dogs selected for this program go through an intense 8-week training session and live with their trainers, handlers and caretakers in a dormitory style work camp. All of these dogs have had an extensive temperament test and get along well with other dogs and people. They can be expected to sit, stay, recall, down, heel, and respond to no and leave it. The dogs are also well trained on a leash. Of course, they are up to date on all vaccines as well as spayed/neutered. Applications for this dog are available online at www.dawgsinprison.com .
