Meet Benedict! Calm and mellow, this handsome bully is easily satisfied with a short walks morning and night. His low endurance makes his daily exercise routine quick and easy. Ben is completely house- and crate-trained, and happy to chill at home while you’re away at work or running errands.

Ben has a tendency to be slightly bull-headed and shows a stubborn streak from time to time. He’s started to pick up basic commands in foster care, and does well on a short leash. His strength may be a challenge for some as he can pull quite hard toward distractions. A rewards- based basic obedience class will whip Ben into shape but he does need a confident leader to provide firm, clear direction.

Ben would do well in a forever home with a compatible female dog, or as an only pet. He is improving on his doggy greetings and communication. He tends to rush new dogs but does well introduced slowly on a parallel walk. He loves his bones but is not possessive over toys and treats, and is respectful of other dogs’ boundaries once he knows them.

Overall, Ben is a goofball of a boy who just wants your love and company. He’ll gaze at you with his irresistible puppy-dog eyes until he wins your attention, and will be more than happy to snuggle up next to you on the couch and relax.
