My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Zane and I am a purebred, sable & white, rough collie. I am 4-5 years old and I am a lover. If you want a snuggle bug I am your man. I am very good with female dogs but not so good with some males. It is unknown about my attitude toward cats. I did not have much hair when I came to DFW Collie Rescue but my coat has been growing and now it is a deep, rich brown color and I am looking good! I am afraid of loud noises and have tried to climb a 6 ft. chain link fence so I will need a 6 or 8 ft. fence. If I get out of a yard I will run and not come back until I feel like it, so you cannot let me slip out a door or gate. I did have heartworms, but I have had treatment and now on heartworm preventive. I am also current on shots and neutered. I am also microchipped. I am crate trained, but not house trained, i do know how to use a doggy door. I am a good rider and leashed trained. You can find an application at www.dfwcollierescue.org, once you fill it out DFW Collie Rescue will check your references and do a home visit before approving you for my adoption.
