Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shep has had an interesting life.
He was dumped in a public park in 2010 with his female companion and fed by kind strangers for several months. Then Animal Control came and took the female and our organization took Shep. He was injured at the time and certainly ragged looking but he soon turned into a fine looking boy.
He was adopted by a couple in November of 2011 and they had him 4 or 5 hours - yes hours - before he darted out the door and ran into the Plano park system and was on the lam for a week! the couple didn't want him back so he came back home with us.
Then he was adopted by a nice couple in May of 2013 and adjusted very nicely to the cat and the doggy door. Now that couple is having a baby and has surrendered Shep to us. This is a heartbreaking development and we are very sad about it.
Shep is a bit shy but has come a long way in this regard. He is a quite dog and loves attention. Easy to care for. His needs are simple.
We wish for another home for Shep as soon as possible. He is a great dog and there is no good reason why he keeps coming back to us!
Please take a look. We can arrange a meet-and-greet.
