My story

Sand Box, "Rizzo" is a young, Pennsylvania bred mare who retired from Parx Racing in July 2014. Rizzo raced just 10 times and earned $48,198. We were contacted by her trainer in regards to help retrain and place her into a good, lifelong home. She arrived to our facility on December 31, 2014 fully let down, sound and ready to learn a new discipline. Rizzo is showing talent over fences. She is a big, sweet girl with very lofty, beautiful movement, currently standing a true 16.2 and most likely has room to grow as she is only 5. Rizzo is a weaver in her stall but is happy in turnout. Fantastic hunter prospect. Her trainer has x-rays of her ankles available that showed very mild arthritis, treated almost 6 months ago with IRAP therapy.

Sand Box is available for adoption under a no racing/no auction/no breeding contract with right of first refusal through Second Chance Thoroughbreds, Inc.
