My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mommy's Dearest, "Ginger" is a 2007 OTTB mare who retired from Finger Lakes Race Track in the summer of 2014. She bowed her left front tendon in her final race, July 1, 2014 and was given to someone promising a forever home. She was then found a few months later on Craigslist in the hands of a dealer. We were able to purchase her and another mare and they arrived on October 19, 2014. She was given off till early February 2015, at which time her tendon was ultrasounded and she was cleared to return to work slowly. Her bow is cold and Ginger is sound for flat work at this time. She has been started lightly under saddle and is eligible for the 2015 Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover. Ginger raced 34 times and earned $63,069.

Mommy's Dearest is available for adoption under a no racing/no auction/no breeding contract with right of first refusal through Second Chance Thoroughbreds, Inc.
