My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Yuki and I am a three year old, spay female Japanese Chin. I came into rescue on 12/13/14. I was picked up as a stray and was waiting in a shelter in Oklahoma for someone to claim me. I had severe dry eye and the shelter thought I would be better off in a rescue where I could receive the care I needed. I have been to the Ophthalmologist several times and my eyes are much improved. I don't make tears naturally so I am given a regiment of eye drops several times a day and one of my eyes is starting to make tears. Because I went with this condition for so long without proper care I do have some damage and scar tissue on my eyes, however I do see pretty well. I am looking for a calm and quiet adult home. With vision issues I can be easily startled or surprised which can be scary and can make me a little unpredictable, therefore a home without children would be best for me. I have been recently spay, microchipped, had a hernia repaired, entropian surgery on my right eye and had my teeth cleaned. I am current on all vaccinations including Lepto and Rabies. I am a very calm and quiet little girl who gets along with other small dogs and walk on a leash. I am doing well on housetraining, however don't have it down 100%, but am working hard on mastering it. I am very affectionate and would make a great companion.
