This gorgeous guy with the beautiful coat is Max! Born in May 2014, he's neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, house trained, crate trained & sleeps in his crate at night. He's a good boy with puppies, dogs & cats, especially the 8 in his Foster Home! He's a little shy with children but does warm up to them and gets along great with toddlers & kids!
Max was rescued from a sad situation where he was living outside. He's been adjusting nicely in his Foster Home and finding out how great living with a Family can be! He's a very sweet boy who enjoys getting attention, especially belly rubs & scratches! He loves giving hugs and has special ones for his Foster Mom, where he stands up and hugs her, and it just touches her heart. He started snuggling her recently and we're thrilled at the progress he's made. He's turning into a little love bug! And, he's an easy boy to love! His eyes are so pretty and tug at your soul, his markings are beautiful and when he smiles, it's very contagious!
Max has a nice energy level and enjoys playing! He loves toys that make funny noises and he has the time of his life playing with other dogs! He likes playing with his Foster Parents and he makes his Foster Mom laugh when he jumps and tries to get her to play with him while holding his favorite toy bird. He has a lot of fun playing with his Foster Mom's granddaughters, who range from 8 years to 3 years old. They help him learn his commands & give him treats when he follows through with the command - it's the cutest thing to watch! When it's time to relax, this adorable young man enjoys spending time chewing on yummy bones or laying next to his people.
A very smart guy who learns quickly, Max was house trained in a week and learned how to Sit and Shake in just one day! He knows the Stay command and is currently working on perfecting Down. Milk Bones are his favorite treat so they might be helpful when it comes to training and teaching him commands & tricks! Walks are one of his favorite activities and he walks nicely on a leash. Max was left outside and doesn't know much about the world around him so his Foster Family has been working with him and he's doing such a great job! He's skittish around loud noises and children but slowly introducing him to calm kids will help him warm up to them.
Max would be happiest in a home with a high fence as he can jump smaller fences and he'd love to have another dog as a playmate & companion but it's not required.
