My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is a courtesy post for a Chow rescue out of New York. A local foster has partnered with ARF'N to help get exposure for Lola to get her a home.

Lola is a chow mix who we believe is about a year old and weighs 38 pounds. She is a fun loving and energetic girl, she loves to play ball and tug a war. Lola has some alpha tendencies and would do best with male dogs or non alpha females. She is good with kids. She has been around cats but likes to chase them. She is up to date on all her shots, spayed and house trained. She does NOT do well in a crate. She needs some leash work but is ready for her new home!

ARF'N primarily adopts only to residents in the counties surrounding Hernando County in central Florida or within a 60-90 min. drive from the Brooksville/Spring Hill areas. The reason for this is that we personally conduct home visits for each of our rescued pets to ensure they are getting a safe home.

The application can be found here: http://www.arfn.org/adoption-application/

Email questions to: info@arfn.org. We do not have a phone number to reach us.

Our adoption fees for dogs range between $150 and $250. All of our pets come completely vetted (spay/neuter, vaccinations, heart worm tested, on heart worm prevention, and a microchip).

ARF'N is a rescue operated by volunteers with full-time professional jobs during the day. We can't always get back to you immediately. Most of our rescue work happens in the evenings and on the weekends. It can typically take up to two weeks to go from application to adoption. More time is required for pets with multiple applications. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. We find the best match between pet and adopter. Please be patient with us through this process.
