02/02/2015: Cowboy Is Looking For A New Home On The Range

Cowboy is an AKC registered Bassett Hound who is 8 years old and neutered. He is current on vaccinations and has no health problems!

Cowboy has lived the past 6 years of his life as a member of a young, energetic family. He shared his home with 2 other dogs, 3 small children and their parents.

When mom became pregnant with her 4th child, everything changed for the dogs in the house. Mom decided she had had enough…pregnant with 3 small kids, 3 dogs, a full time job, and her husband traveling for work….the dogs had to go.

One of Cowboy’s brothers was an older black Pug, who was heading to Pug rescue of New England. They notified one of our volunteers who has Pugs of Cowboy’s situation and we stepped up to help immediately!

Cowboy is a very sweet Bassett. He does well with other dogs, is good with cats, and from what his previous owners report, he is excellent with children!

He rides happily in the car, and has traveled all over the country, originally coming from California. He has been sweet and loving in foster care, and is desperately seeking to bond with a caring adult. Please consider this great dog for your next companion.
