Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roxanne is an amazing three year old girl. She is a true companion: loyal to her human and well balanced in all situations. She is a character and makes us laugh when she play bows and begs for food. She doesn’t need to be able to talk, she does just fine playing charades. This happy girl is able to play couch potato and sit by your side on the couch, but is playful and energetic when it comes to having fun. She has liked everyone that she has met so far and it seems like she will be good with children (we just haven’t had an opportunity to introduce her to any small humans yet). She is house trained and will ask to go out, but takes care of herself when the dog doors are open. She gets along with our border collies and submits to our alpha female, but would probably prefer being in charge. She came into the shelter at Riverside overweight, so she is on a diet. She should probably weigh about 50 pounds. Her hair is stunning with a bit of a red glow in the sun. She walks nicely on a loose leash, but does react a bit with approaching people or dogs (not aggressive, just barks a bit and is too excited), so we will work with her on this behavior. Once people actually get close enough to pet her, she is happy and calms down. She knows come, sit and wait. We will be starting stay and lie down this week, which she will master quickly. She is extremely food motivated and wants to please, so she can be trained for almost anything. She would probably like agility and might become a water dog. She enjoyed splashing along the shore, but since she has no recall yet, she had to stay on a leash and foster mommy didn’t want to get wet. She came out of the shelter so emotionally strong that she started her new life immediately. She had a bath and integrated with our border collies on day 1. The next day she went to work and also to the vet (clean bill of health – minor ear infection is resolved). Day 3 she watched packing for vacation. Day 4 she was on the road and enjoying camping. She travels well in the truck and has no motion sickness even on bumping winding roads (one of the owner dogs got sick). She’s been on long hikes, played in the water, enjoys the camp fire and is good in the trailer. She will be available for adoption after she’s back from vacation on February 7th. Please complete an on-line application available through our website: lookbackrescue.org. Her foster parents will be posting to facebook and youtube as vacation and training progresses.
