Posted 2/2/15. Enzo, a 13 lb. miniature Schnauzer (probably mix) came to the nest from a local animal shelter where he was brought in as a stray and never claimed. Enzo was very depressed at the shelter, he just howled non-stop. Clearly he was someone's beloved pet at some point and who knows about the circumstances that brought him to us. Upon arrival, Enzo had a mild case of flea allergy, he was emaciated and he had very very rotten teeth that required extensive dental work. Poor little Enzo is a bit timid and aloof at first and it takes him a while to get acclimated to his new surroundings. When he first came to us, he would pace a lot and clearly he was trying to figure out where he was and what he was doing at this place. :) He did settle in after 2 days and he learned that his foster home was a cool place to be and that his foster mom was going to love and spoil him. Enzo is very sweet and he loves his person. He is also very independent and does not care for the company of other dogs. While he gets along with them, we believe that he would love to be an only dog. Enzo is very well behaved, he is quiet, he is 100% house broken. He LOVES going for walks! He is excellent in the car and just curls up wherever you ask him to stay He also loves to eat. :) For Enzo we are looking for a home where he gets a lot of attention and with someone who understands his needs. Enzo is about 10 years old, he is neutered, current on vaccinations including Rabies, he tested negative for heartworm, he had extensive dental work and he is micro chipped.
