I was found wandering the streets of Long Beach. I was very sad, dirty, flea infested and hungry, so I was happy when the officer found me. He took me to this place and put me in a small jail cell and gave me some food.
I thought it was just temporary and that I would get to go home soon, but my owners never came. There were alot of nice people at the jail and when they let me out to go play in the play yard I was in heaven.
There were tennis balls there, my favorite toy! The ladies said they think I am about 5, but that is in human years. I was never good at math, so I guess they could be right. They shaved me by my tail because that is where my fleas were, then they gave me a flea bath. That made me feel so much better. No more itching. But I'm not too happy I have a big hairless spot on my back. It will grow back right?
Because I don't want to be bald back there forever.
Anyhow, I was at the jail for a couple weeks. One day this nice lady came and played ball with me for a long time. She must have liked playing ball with me because she took me home.
Then I realized she likes dogs, because I wasn't the only dog there. I get jealous when other dogs are around, so I bark and get upset sometimes.
I would really prefer being in a home with no other animals -definitely NO CATS. But I am ok for now. She takes me for walks every day and we play ball in the morning and in the evenings. She even has a young boy and we play chase. If I have the ball, he chases me around the kitchen table. If he has the ball, I chase him. It's really pretty fun. I did say I like playing ball right?
Anyhow, I would really like a forever home. I love people and kids, I am just not a big fan of other dogs.
So if you happen to like tennis, or playing with balls, and need a companion, I AM THE ONE FOR YOU! Just give my foster mom a call. We would be happy to hear from you.
