My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aly is two years old, and is one of the sweetest most outgoing young Border Collies you will ever meet. She came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner had to go into a nursing home. Family members then turned her into a shelter. Lucky for this lovely girl one of our rescue friends in NC spotted her and a group of dedicated volunteer transport drivers brought her to CTHDR. She stole hearts along the way and has her own fan club rooting for her to find her own forever home.

Aly loves to snuggle, she wants nothing more than to be with her people. Crates were new to her, but she now settles nicely in her crate for the night. Aly is house trained, rides well in the car and gets along well with other dogs. She is medium energy and would love another dog to play with and a fenced yard would be ideal. Cats are a temptation and she will chase them as well as chickens or ducks. It does not appear that she had too much leash walking experience before she came to rescue, but she walks better on leash each day. She sits for her food bowl and will be working to improve her obedience skills while she is in foster care. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm Negative and has been on flea/tick control as well as Heartworm prevention . If you are interested in Aly, please complete an application.
