My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is a wonderful 1 year 4 month old furry fellow, he is either a Rhodesian Ridgeless or a Redbone Coonhound. He was adopted at 3 months old from a shelter as a “Boxer Mix” by a young couple that lived at an apartment and have to give Jake up because they could not give him the attention nor the exercise he needed, he was kept on a crate for most of the day.
Looking for a young, happy-go-lucky, energetic dog? Then look no further than Jake. This young hound is all that and more. He loves to play, with tug being one of his favorite games. He already knows how to sit on command and it is very motivated so learning other canine manners should be a breeze.
Jake thrives in the company of people and enjoys playing with most dogs. He is well socialized with dogs of all sizes and shapes and very gentle with people including children. I occasionally bring him home and he is very well behaved and house trained, but very active so he will do well in the company of other dogs, as he does here with his playmates including a 70 pound male Rottweiler mix, a 50 pound female Pit Bull and a 9 month male Pit Bull, as well as any other dog he encounters including puppies, we do not know how he does with cats.
