Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Rachel! I'm a 5 year old yorkie, and according to my foster parents, I'm a little love. I was released from a commercial dog breeding facility because the breeder wanted to downsize. I'm so lucky to be free from living in a cage now. It's awesome to be able to run around outside in the grass/snow and feel the sunshine on my back. I also am very much enjoying living in a home and learning all about what life as a pet is like. I'm super friendly and just love my foster parents and anyone else I meet. I get along great with other dogs too! Oh, and I really enjoy playing with squeaky toys and chewing on safe dog chews. I'm just a happy little girl, who is more than ready for a wonderful forever home to come along!
Since being rescued, I've been spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), dewormed, vaccinated, and had a dental cleaning. I also had a mammary tumor removed. Now that I am spayed, there shouldn't be any need to worry about those nasty things anymore! I'm being fed a high-quality food in my foster home that doesn't contain any corn, wheat, soy, meat by-products or other low-quality ingredients, and I hope my new family will continue to feed me a high-quality food for the rest of my life. I'm being fostered in Madison, WI, and my adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in adopting me, please contact Margaret at loveforbichons@gmail.com to request an application.
The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes an application, reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs on planes or send them on transports. Adopters need to come to the foster home to adopt.
