Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maru found himself accidentally trapped in a Brooklyn bodega when the Health Department shut it down, and the owner didn't know Maru was inside. (Maru was not the bodega's cat.) Nearly a month went by before a concerned citizen reached out to The American Street Cat about Maru's coincidental disappearance, and action to get him out was swiftly taken. None the worse for wear, aside from a little malnourished, Maru's health checked out just fine, and now he's seeking a permanent indoor home.
Maru is such a cuddler! He'll jump on a lap, make biscuits, and purr up a storm. He's also pretty crafty, finding all kinds of places to hide and go sleep. He'd be better off in a quiet home with no dogs. Another feline friend would be okay given a slow and proper introduction, but Maru's inclination is to be the one and only.
This guy is such a charmer and deserves a loving, safe home after his recent ordeal. Please make an appointment to meet him in his Ditmas Park, BK, foster home. You won't regret it!
