My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi all. My name is Skittles. I am a eight pound, four year old spayed female small breed mix with possibly some Lhaso Apso and terrier. It is hard to determine my exact breed as when I was found as a stray, my silver and gray fur was so badly matted that it had to be all shaved off. When I first came into the care of Home At Last I was quite skittish, hence my name. But now that I have been in a caring foster home, I have come into my own and have gained quite a bit of confidence. I am a very gentle, very calm and even tempered dog. While I am good with other dogs and enjoy their company, I am not playful with them. Cats are of little interest to me and I have no problem sharing my home with them. I am quiet and generally only bark to alert you there is someone at the door. It takes me a little while to trust new people but once I do, I will dedicate myself to being your loyal companion. And I will love you with all my heart.
