Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Ava and I'm a little Rat terrier mix. I look like I could be full blooded, but we just don't know for sure. A man who happen to be at walmart, saw someone selling us in the parking lot. He bought me and my three siblings and brought us home to his mother who is a rescue. The only thing is she only rescues senior dogs, so she wasn't prepared for four little puppies. So she contacted a rescue who does take puppies, and that is where we are right now. My foster mom saids that I and my siblings are just adorable. We are around 8 weeks old as of (Jan 21) We all are pretty small, weighing around 3-4 lbs, so its a good chance we will be small rat terriers. Here is some things you might like to know about my breed. Rat terrier are eager to please and respond and pick training up faster than most dogs. The Rat Terrier is a very well-mannered, well-rounded dog. It is easy to train, very eager to learn and to please its owner. They love to go with you and to do what you do. They are also very good swimmers, not bashful or afraid and have no problem with the water. They make good farm dogs as well as excellent family dogs for pets and companionship. This hardy dog is used for hunting expeditions as well as terrier work. Named by the perceptive Teddy Roosevelt, the Rat Terrier was developed in Great Britain originally from the Smooth Fox Terrier and the Manchester Terrier in 1820. It was brought to the USA in the 1890s. Life Magazine showed President Roosevelt with three black and tan Rat Terriers. So that tells you something about my breed. I am a very friendly little guy. I love people, and will make a great family dog. I will be ready to come to you on Feb 6th. At that time I will be fixed, had three of my puppy shots, kennel cough shot, and be dewormed. Also if your not a cat person, but you would like to keep vermins away from your place, here is an interested fact about rat terriers. The Rat Terrier proved to be one of the best in the rat-baiting pits. One Rat Terrier is reported to have killed over 2,501 rats in a span of only seven hours in a rat infested barn. The Rat Terrier is a hard-working farm hand, able to rid an infested barn of vermin with no problem. So if you would like to own a great little dog, why don't you please apply for me today.
