My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Ruffus. I am a sweet, lovable guy with lots of energy. I was found wandering in Southampton County, Virginia and was turned in to the shelter. Fortunately, the shelter is familiar with ECADR and my Foster Mom. ECADR took care of my veterinary check up, neuter, shots and even cleaned my teeth. The vet guesses me to be between 3 & 4 years old.

My left front leg was hurt when I was younger, my foot curls back and I only use it to balance myself. It doesn't hurt , and quite frankly I don't pay any attention to it - I run faster than the other dogs in my foster home with four good legs! I am NOT special needs, thank you very much!

I am looking for a furever home with someone who wants a lot of love and companionship. I would like to be the center of your world and really don't want to share my love with other dogs. I am house broken and my Foster Mom has been teaching to walk on a leash. I love being outside, but I want you with me. I'll lay beside you or on your lap all day if you will let me. I weigh about 14.5 pounds, I eat fast, and I will take snacks gently from your hands (as long as other dogs aren't around!).

If you want a lot of unconditional love, I'm the one for you! I'm being fostered in Suffolk, VA and my asking adoption fee is $250.
