Smokey is a beautiful 2 year old pit bull/cattle dog mix who is looking for an active, dog-savvy, fun home! He came into the shelter as a stray, and he quickly became a shelter favorite. Smokey is an active, high-energy dog who is enthusiastic about everything! He listens well and is very quick to learn. Smokey is super smart - we leave him puzzle toys to do to keep him from getting bored!

Smokey enjoys playing with other dogs his size, and he would probably really benefit from an older doggy mentor to show him the ropes and help him blow off steam. He absolutely LOVES playing with a hose or in a pool - it's one of life's great joys to see Smokey so happy!

Smokey needs an experienced owner who's excited about training and helping Smokey unlock all of his potential. He needs someone whose zest for life matches his own! Smokey would do best in a home with no small animals or cats. He would be comfortable with older children who can handle a dog his size.
