My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spencer is a rare designer dog – the very desirable Spuggle. That’s what we’re calling him, anyway. Our vet says he is a spitz, pug, beagle cross, so there you have it! A Spuggle!

Spencer is about a year and a half old and at 24 pounds, has reached his full size. We think, and Spencer agrees, that he’s the perfect size for a hike, a ride in the car, or a snuggle on the couch. He does have a request for his adoptive family....toys, lots of toys. This young dog loves a toy.

Spencer gets along with all of the other dogs in his foster home. He is good on the leash and, like the good boy he is, sleeps very happily in his crate at night.

Spencer is curious about cats. He shows no aggression towards them and knew to jump back when the "clinic cat" wanted to swat him.

He is a bit uncomfortable around children. His foster mom took him to PETCO to see how he would react to children. He was unsure of himself, so it is obvious that he has not been exposed to children. He was not aggressive in any way, just shy and uncertain. From that experience, he could go to a family with quiet children, but loud, active children might be hard for him to adjust to.
